The Bay Area Renaissance Festival will enter its 39th year and celebrates its history, which began with just a handful of entertainers. It has turned into one of today’s finest Regional attractions. The Festival was first held in 1979 in the city of Largo. This inaugural Faire featured renaissance dancing, archery contests, jugglers, mimes and madrigals.
